PERBANDINGAN UJI AKTIVITAS ANTI BAKTERI CHITOOLIGOSAKARIDA TERHADAP Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 DAN Salmonella typhi SECARA in vitro

ABSTRAK
Chito-Oligosaccharida (COS), suatu senyawa kompleks golongan glikoprotein yang memiliki ikatan 1,4-β –glukosamin, sebagai senyawa turunan hasil proses deasetilasi kitosan dari limbah kulit Crustaceae, bersifat polikationik yang mampu melindungi protein dan menekan laju pertumbuhan bakteri pathogen. Contoh bakteri patogen di bidang klinis yaitu Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus dan Salmonella typhi. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui aktivitas antibakterial Chito-Oligosakarida terhadap Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 dan Salmonella typhi secara in vitro. Metode penelitian meliputi uji aktivitas antibakteri yaitu metode difusi dan dilusi. Parameter analisis metode difusi berdasarkan pengukuran diameter daerah hambatan sedangkan metode dilusi berdasarkan penentuan KHM (Konsentrasi Hambat Minimal) dan KBM (Konsentrasi Bunuh Minimal). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Chito-Oligosaccharida (COS) hasil sintesis dari limbah perikanan, mempunyai aktivitas antibakteri terhadap Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 dan Salmonella typhi secara in vitro

ABSTRACT
Chito-Oligosaccharida (COS) is complex substance a group glycoprotein, linked 1,4 β N-acetylglucosamine and deacetylated derivative of chitosan the main source of chitin is crustacean especially shrimp shell as polycationic of protein protective dan supressed of growth value bacterial pathogen as by as Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella typhi. This research aimed to examine the the antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 and Salmonella typhi by in vitro. The method used in this experiment was diffusion and dilution method using agar medium and serial dilution media that being made wells for positive control, negative control, and for test solutions with concentrations series. The obtained result of the experiment was that Chitooligosaccharide could inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 and Salmonella typhi
